RHB Auto-debit (CASA) Terms and Conditions

In consideration for Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd. (TMLM) agreeing to accept this authorisation. I agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • For new proposal payment, premium deduction will commence upon receipt of the completed personal details and Bank CASA Auto-debit Authorisation. In the event the premium deduction is unsuccessful, the insurance cover approved will only commence upon TMLM receiving the full premium payment.
  • TMLM shall not be held responsible or liable for any claims, loss, damage, costs and expenses arising from the successful processing or unsuccessful processing of the debit due to exceeding credit limit, malfunction of the system, electricity failure and/or any other factors beyond the control of TMLM.
  • TMLM is only responsible for making arrangements to process the Bank CASA auto-debit with RHB Bank as authorised by me. I acknowledge and agree that the Auto-Debit service is provided by TMLM solely for my convenience and benefit. Therefore, for any problem or dispute arising from the processing / debiting, it will be my own responsibility to resolve it with my Bank (including but not limited to any problems due to a breakdown or malfunction or mechanical defect of the computer system or equipment to the Bank).
  • The instruction will remain effective unless TMLM is notified in writing to cease further debits. To discontinue the Auto-Debit service and terminate this authorisation, the Proposer must inform TMLM in writing at least one (1) month before the next premium due date. Such changes or cancellation will become effective only after TMLM has duly acknowledged receipt of such notification.
  • TMLM may at its sole and absolute discretion terminate this Auto-Debit service at any time without assigning any reason by giving one (1) month notice in writing to the Proposer.
  • The premium amount to be deducted shall be amended automatically when the policy contractual terms changes or where the policy change is requested by the Proposer and the deduction amount is affected.
  • Receipts will not be issued for premium payments made through the Auto Debit service via Bank Account. I may refer to my account book updates and annual confirmation letter (statement for Income Tax) from TMLM for confirmation of payments.

Declaration & Consent

  • I have read and understood the Product Disclosure Sheet, sales illustration (if any) and other marketing materials (if any) provided to me in respect of the insurance coverage plan proposed for in this application, including but not limited to the terms, description, benefits and limitations that apply to this plan and my duties under the insurance cover and I agree to be bound by them.
  • I have read and understood my Duty of Disclosure and I declare that all details I have entered in this application are true, correct and complete and I have not withheld any important or relevant information to this application.
  • I understand that any incorrect or incomplete information provided will entitle Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd. (TMLM) to avoid the insurance cover issued, my claim being denied or reduced, or the terms governing the cover being changed or varied.
  • I agree and authorise TMLM to collect, record, hold, use, store and disclose my personal data including any sensitive personal data in accordance with TMLM's Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy at https://www.tokiomarine.com/my/en/about-us/corporate-policies/privacy-policy.html
  • I have read and understood TMLM's Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy and agree to provide my consent for my personal data to be used for the purposes stated therein.

Failure to give answers that are full and accurate may result in Your policy being voided, a claim not being paid or reduced, or the terms of the policy being changed. You are advised to take reasonable care not to make any misrepresentation when answering any questions asked by Us. In addition to answering the questions in this Application, You are also required to take reasonable care to tell us any matter which You know to be relevant to Our decision on whether to accept the risk or not and the rates and terms to be applied. You must inform us if there is any change to the information given in this proposal after You have submitted this proposal but before the contract is entered into or varied.
